Our Cuisine
While Pegasus offers an
extensive international menu to satisfy all taste buds at reasonable
prices, it's the traditional Cretan fare and house specialties
that stand out like jewels in the crown of this extraordinary
restaurant.
Dishes like feta-in-the-oven for a starter, lamb
Pegasus, baked in a flakey pastry with potatoes, feta and other
cheeses, for a main course, and its own mouth-watering walnut cake
for dessert. For seafood aficionados there's a wonderful sole and
shrimps dish, made with mushrooms and white wine, and the red meat-lover
can choose from five types of tender steak presentations.
However, perhaps the highlight of the menu is the
Greek platter for two. This enormous platter features stuffed aubergines,
moussaka, gyros, local sausages and fried potatoes - truly a taste-treat
of traditional foods.
Even before you place your order, there's a basket
of fresh village breads, with an accompaniment of individual cups
of butter, garlic butter and olive paste, served to your table.
There's always a choice of tasteful homemade soups, and the impressive
selection of village and bottled wines completes this unique dining
experience.
And, Pegasus hasn't forgotten the children, either.
Its delightful kid's menu, adorned with colourful cartoon characters,
makes ordering a nourishing meal a fun-filled time for the little
ones. |
